More About the Space
Built in the 1820s, this old fisherman's cottage has been smartly renovated but retained it's classic Cornish charm. It features a well equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge with flat screen TV, 3 bedrooms and one bathroom, work friendly desk space, play area with kids toys and a garden with seating and Webber BBQ. The bed set up is one double, one twin and one bunk.
The local butchers, bakery, pasty shops and large supermarket are only a couple of minutes walk. Whats more, the picturesque Hayle Quay and stunning white sands of the river mouth are also under 10 minutes walk away. By car you can reach the beautiful 4 mile St Ives bay within 5 minutes, and enjoy the tourist attractions within the town itself!
Furthermore, you are perfectly situated to enjoy many of Cornwall's attractions by car. Around 30 mins away is the historic Minack theatre - an incredible theatre carved into the cliffs edge. Over the summer they show many productions, including Shakespeare and kids shows in the day, so check the schedule and book in advance! Lands end, Porthcurno, Flambard's Theme Park and the Seal Sanctuary can also all be reached within 30 mins.
Around 50 mins drive away is the Eden Project, but it is well worth the drive. Described by some as the 8th wonder of the world, 3 giant greenhouse biomes house artificial environments. Wonder through rainforest, Mediterranean, African climates and more! There are guided walks and many events on so again check the calendar.
Guest Access & Parking
There is free street parking outside the front of the house from 5pm-8.30am. There is also some street parking in the surrounding streets.
Alternatively, and certainly the easiest option during busy periods, you can pay for a ticket in the car park which is just outside the back entrance to the house. You can do this using the PHONE AND PAY app on Android or Apple phones. A 3 day permit cost £15.60, 5 days are £26, and a weekly permit is £36.40.
This is a private listing so guests will have full access to the house, however we will be available by phone or email/airbnb message during your stay. Assistance in person can also be arranged.
